Today I am going to do a short blog post to talk about an essential tool for affiliate marketers. This content is used to market other people’s products. The content is used instead of creating custom content for emails so the marketer can get up and running faster. Most of the time it is already tested for higher conversion rates which increase the marketer’s chances of making sales. That’s right, I am talking about a swipe file. What is a swipe file you might ask? It is a file that contains the content needed to perform email marketing, social media marketing, or other online marketing for affiliate products.
Where can I get these files?
Most of the time, if you are marketing affiliate products, these files are ready for you inside of the area that you obtain your affiliate links. The location can be an affiliate marketplace, a backend affiliate login for a specific product, or it may even come via email from the creator depending if they already have an affiliate program or not. Another place that you could find such content if there isn’t any content already created is through services such as funnel scripts or another copywriting website that creates the content for you based on your needs.
How do I use these files?
When you are marketing an affiliate product there are a couple of places and ways you can use the content from these files. The first and most obvious is email marketing campaigns. Many times these files are set up in a manner that allows the marketer to just create a series of emails to go to potential customers or email lists.
Another way that you can use this content is to create copy for your funnels. Using this as a baseline allows the marketer to create funnel copy very rapidly.
Another way that this content can be used is through the creation of social media posts and advertisements. While the content will need to be changed before using for this, it is something that I do quite frequently.
What is funnel scripts?
I briefly said something about a tool called funnel scripts. This is a tool created by Jim Edwards. Essentially it allows the user to create content for anything they wish. This includes funnels, ads, social media posts, and even webinars. You go into the tool, fill out a form, and it gives you a ton of copy that you can use. This includes headlines also. The tool is available from Clickfunnels as a subscription. If you are interested in learning more about the tool, you can go here.
If you are interested in creating your own copy for whatever needs you have, Jim also wrote a book that you can get for free called Copywriting Secrets which you can find here.
So that’s all for this post. Hopefully, this helps you understand what a swipe file is and the basics of its use. If you are interested in learning more about Internet marketing or getting quick tips, I have created a Facebook group called Affiliates on the Rise. I do Facebook lives and drop different videos regularly. As always, Just Keep Going!!
