In this quick post, I am going to tell you about Clickfunnels. I have recently had to explain this tool to some friends and I thought it would be better to post information here so anyone who is curious can find the answer quickly. In the world of internet marketing, a sales funnel is essentially a web site that has been optimized to attract customers. This is actually a rude definition if you examine the term “funnel” and its relation to this type of site, you can see that customers are directed to a beginning page, called a squeeze page, then pushed through a series of steps through the site until they either make a purchase or are added to an email list. Each step inside of this funnel has a term. The first page is the squeeze page, then the sales or product page, then the one time offer or OTO page, then the upsell, then down-sell. While these steps vary, this gives an idea of how the funnel works.
Before I go any deeper into this topic, here is a video for those who would also like to see a demonstration.
Technically there are four steps to a sales funnel as a part of the customer journey; awareness, interest, decision, and action. The sales funnel is set up in a way that helps the customer make a sound decision and take action if the product or solution helps solve their problem.
So what is the difference between a funnel and Clickfunnels?
Essentially they are the same. The major difference is that, in the past, you would have to create a sales funnel manually through writing code or setting it up on WordPress. Not to mention the need for external tools such as autoresponders, CRM, and many other things. Clickfunnels gives you all of these tools in one package. At the same time, there is no manual coding needed to create a funnel. In fact, Russell Brunson has created a platform that is drag and drop. So there is no more coding needed or crazy integration hacking. You can literally have a full-funnel setup and launched in under an hour.
Along with the extra features such as an autoresponder and CRM, the company offers packages. These packages include things such as funnel scripts, funnel flix, funnel university, and some other fun stuff. This platform saves time and money through the rapid ability to create any type of funnel that you can think of. This includes everything from a single page funnel to a very complex funnel with many up and down sells. There is even a section to have other affiliates market your funnel or product for you.
One very important feature to note is that you are not required to create anything from scratch if you don’t want to. There are many templates to choose from and all you do is change the content to meet your needs. You can buy and integrate domains, integrate third-party autoreponders if you already have one (not need though), and perform almost any other action that you can think of as an affiliate marketer. This platform makes everything super easy!
Can I see under the hood?
In this section, I will provide some screenshots and explanations of the tool so you can make an informed decision. This will only target the funnel creation feature to make this post as short and straightforward as possible.
When you are building a new funnel you will see a screen like so.
Choosing the cookbook builder process will take you to the funnel cookbook where you can choose what kind of funnel you are trying to make. I generally choose the classic funnel builder but for the sake of simplicity, I will show you the funnel cookbook builder process.
As you can see there are a bunch of different options.
Inside of each of these is a different funnel type that you can select from. For the sake of this post, I have selected a squeeze page funnel in an attempt to keep this short.
You can see in the image below there are both free and paid funnels. I personally use the free funnels. While these are not all of the funnel templates, it will give you an idea of the look for the selection pane.
One thing I forgot to mention above is that the platform also has the ability to share funnels that you have created. So if you are creating funnels for a client, you can share it with them after you are done.
After you select a funnel and import it into your dashboard, you can go into it to make changes. Once you click on the name of the new funnel you will see a button that says edit page. If you click on this, it will take you into the editor.
Inside of here, you click on the different elements to edit them and make them fit your needs. When you click on an element inside of the editor you will be presented with a sidebar like so that allows you to change the item to make it fit your needs.
Overall this has been a pretty straightforward post but it was created to give you an idea of what Clickfunnels actually is. The tool is designed to save you time and money. Also, you can create as many funnels as you would like on one platform without the need for third-party hosting. While there are many more features that were not described in this post, the general idea was to give you an overview of the main features of the tool.
I should point out that this tool is not just for affiliate marketers. It can be used for literally any business that wants to market a product or service online. The company does give a 14 day trial. If you would like to check it out, click here to go to their page. If you sign up through my link, I will give you free share funnels that you can use to get started. If you sign up through my link, I will give you a free share funnel.
That is all for this post. I hope it helped you and as always if you have any comments or questions please feel free to reach out to me. Just Keep Going!
